Treatment Modalities

  • Psychiatric medication management is the process of prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications to treat mental health conditions. My goal is to ensure that you receive the most effective treatment with minimal side effects.

  • De-prescribing, or medication tapering, is a gradual reduction of a medication's dosage over time. This process is essential for drugs like antidepressants, antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines. Tapering schedules are personalized based on medication type, half-life, and individual response. The goal is to safely transition you off the medication while minimizing discomfort and risks associated with discontinuation.

  • Integrative psychotherapy combines techniques and theories from different therapeutic modalities. It is an approach I utilize because it recognizes the uniqueness of each person and tailors therapy to fit your specific needs.

  • A ketamine consultation comprises an assessment of your medical and mental health history, treatment goals, and ketamine-related information. If I determine that you meet the criteria, I will prescribe sublingual ketamine for use in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). This service involves a collaborative approach between a KAP therapist and myself. To learn more, click here.

  • Psychedelic integration therapy is a counseling approach designed to help individuals understand and incorporate insights from past psychedelic experiences into their daily lives. This therapy provides a supportive environment to discuss and make sense of the profound emotional, psychological, and spiritual transformations often encountered with substances like psilocybin and MDMA. It aims to enhance well-being and guide positive life changes by facilitating personal growth and healing. This service is grounded in various therapeutic techniques, catering to the unique needs of each individual post-experience. Please note that I do not offer psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. However, I can assist you in understanding and making sense of insights or themes from your past experiences.

  • Perinatal psychiatry specializes in the mental health of individuals during pregnancy and the first postpartum year. It deals with unique psychological challenges and offers assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for conditions like depression and anxiety.

  • I can assist you in choosing suitable supplements, herbs, and botanicals that are known to be safe and supported by evidence for their beneficial effects. I aim to enhance your wellness routine by optimizing your regimen and offering access to high-quality, professional-grade products.

  • Lifestyle modifications refer to the positive changes I can help you integrate into your daily routine to enhance your overall mental health and well-being. These can include adopting a healthier diet, engaging in regular physical activity, ensuring adequate sleep, and practicing stress-reduction techniques like mindfulness or meditation. Making these adjustments can significantly improve your mental health, creating a stronger foundation for dealing with life's challenges.

Insurance

I have chosen not to participate in any insurance plans at my clinic. This decision enables me to offer my patients personalized care, spend additional time with them, and apply evidence-based integrative approaches often not included in insurance coverage. While I do not collaborate directly with insurance providers as an in-network provider, you may be eligible for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits (typically included in a PPO plan).
